Irrespective of the industry in which these Asian employees work, they are often emplyed through an employment agency. This is why the WWLU has made an agreement in principle for a CLA for temporary employment. Subsequently, we ensure we are able to help a large proportion of the employees, regardless of the industry in which they work.

Many of our members work in sectors such as inland shipping, sea shipping/sea fishing and medical professions. And so, because many of our members work in these sectors, we have focussed our specialisation and are actively working to get better terms and conditions of employment for these sectors.

New sectors

We continuously monitor the sectors in which our members mainly work. As soon as members start working in a certain sector, this will obviously attract our attention and will lead to investigating the working conditionsin that particular area.
